Megan’s Law, enacted in 1996, allows states to disclose to the public information about convicted sex offenders. Each state may define the types of sex offenders who are required to register and regularly report to law enforcement. Refer to the following links for more information on how each site defines, discloses, and maintains data on sex offenders.

According to the Department of Justice, The Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Registry (NSOPR) will provide one-stop access to registries from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
