Families Shaken After School Bus Takes 4 ½-Hour Trip

Madinat Koroma was frantic: It was after 9 p.m., more than five hours after the school day had ended at the Achievement First Brownsville charter school, and she was still waiting at the bus stop for her daughter, Victoria Adewale, 5, a kindergartner.

Newington Preschooler, 4, Again Left On School Bus

NEWINGTON — – The school bus was supposed to drop off Ashleigh Jascowski at her home Tuesday afternoon.

Instead, the bus driver returned to the district’s transportation garage and punched out, apparently not having noticed that the 4-year-old special needs preschooler was still strapped in her seat. It’s the second time in a year that Ashleigh has been left behind on a school bus.
