How much assistance does a GPS enabled device provide for a missing child? What if it is removed by a child or a predator? What if a tracking signal is unavailable? Do they provide more peace of mind for parents than protection for the child?
Manassas, Va. – Police returned Monday morning to the neighborhood around Manassas’ Central Library where 13-year-old Alexis “Lexie” Glover was last seen alive.
The young mentally-challenged girl went missing on Wednesday, setting off an intense two-day manhunt.
Lexie’s mother immediately sensed that something was very wrong. Because of her disability, the girl wore a GPS bracelet — but the bracelet was discovered near the library soon after she disappeared.
