In Kentucky last year a social worker , Boni Frederick,67, was brutally murdered during a visitation. She was found dead, after taking a 10-month-old child for a visit with his mother. The child was in the custody of the state. His mother Renee Terrell, 33, of Henderson, and her boyfriend, Christopher Wayne Luttrell, 23, allegedly took the child killing Ms. Frederick in the process.
Her death had many states reviewing the entire visitation procedure to aid in protecting the social workers. But have changes been made to protect the children?
On July 2nd during “supervised” visits with her children a 17-year-old mother simply vanished with her two children. She was allowed the visits during a court appointed stay at Ada’s Place. Her children were in foster care and were brought to her. In this case the children were not harmed nor was there any indication they were ever in danger but it does raise the issue of parental visitations and where or how they should be conducted.
INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police detectives have arrested 17-year-old Eboni Talley for confinement and violation of a custody order.
Police say on Sunday Talley was having supervised visitation with her two children, ages one and three, at Ada’s Place where she was staying.
