The NCMEC reports that 800,000 children go missing each year or 2,100 per day. This may be one of those children who is statistically counted but where no “search” efforts were needed to find him.
This article is about a 2-year-old who wanders away from a daycare only to be found 6 hours later. It begins with it being described as every parent’s daycare nightmare!
The real nightmare is the child was left by his grandparents at the daycare which is owned by his aunt. The aunt then leaves him with her sister who somehow doesn’t know he was ever there. Meanwhile a neighbor spots him and turns him over to police who wait for someone to report him missing.
The shocker is the admission by the aunt that she is going to get out of the business!
If you were concerned for his safety, there are only 752 registered sex offenders on the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) site for Wichita.
