Should your child go missing, where should you or authorities search? In this case, other then resolving the case sooner, it doesn’t appear the failure to locate them immediately would have made a difference. Most experts would agree you should conduct a thorough search of your home for areas where children could hide such as appliances, closets, cars etc. Why it wasn’t done is yet to be determined.
Investigators on Friday had been inside Tunstall’s apartment 28J at the John DeShields public housing complex to get photographs of the missing children for media outlets to publicize during the search. After Tiffany Hall admitted to drowning the children, they returned on Saturday night to the stench of death.
Police found 7-year-old DeMond Tunstall’s body – 4 feet tall, 55 pounds – in the dryer. The other two children – 2-year-old Ivan Tunstall-Collins and 1-year-old Jinela Tunstall – were lifeless in the washer.
It reminded me of the three boys last year in Cramer Hill, NJ who where found in the trunk of a car. In that case, it was thought to have been a tragic accident.
