Carrie McCandless , a 29-year-old female teacher at Brighton Charter High School is in Colorado is suspected of having sex with a 17-year-old male student. The incident allegedly took place on a field trip to a YMCA camp.
What makes this case unique is she is the wife of the Brighton school’s principal, Chris McCandless. She was either fired from the school or resigned this week depending on the news report.
The first few paragraphs of this article focus on Ms. McCandless but then zeroed in on David Wayne Mundy Jr., 31, a former substitute teacher at the school. He pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in October.

Debra Lafave, the Florida teacher who pleaded guilty to lewd behavior with a teenage boy, has been arrested for allegedly violating her probation on charges she spoke to an underage female co-worker.

TAMPA – Conversations with an underage girl that included handshakes, hugs and slaps on the derrière were in violation of Debra Lafave’s house arrest, a judge determined Thursday.
Still, Circuit Judge J. Rogers Padgett ruled, the violation was neither willful nor substantial. Lafave, therefore, will continue house arrest under the current conditions. Had the violation been more serious, Lafave could have been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
